Meet Cotter Conway
Cotter C. Conway has devoted his entire professional career to defending individuals civil right and liberties and served Washoe County as a Deputy Public Defender for more than 14 years.
During law school, he worked in the Office of the Juvenile Defender for the Vermont Defender General and later in the Special Unit for the Defense of Drug Offenses. After graduation from law school, he moved back to Nevada to begin his legal career. He started in the private sector with other criminal defense lawyers and then soon joined the Washoe County Public Defender's Office. Cotter Conway's exemplary service and abilities were recognized when he was chosen to staff the newly-created Washoe County Alternate Public Defender's Office.
Conway has represented the interests of the criminal defense bar before the Nevada State Legislature and has a depth of experience dealing with a very broad range of issues. He is ready to use those insights and skills to zealously and effectively serve in the courtroom.
Mr. Conway practiced in both Nevada and California as well as local federal courts in Nevada. He is also a member of the Washoe County Bar Association, serving as its president in 2015.
